Crazy life of an organized mom

OMG! Hello to my blog...oh how I've missed you! I don't really have anything wonderful/important/great to share, other than I have been so darn busy that I feel like a total loony crazy person! My life the last week has consisted of embroidering every single moment my child is asleep, including a few nights till 10:30 or 11:00 at night. My poor husband has been shafted, but he totally understands. Momma's gotta work too (and I love it btw) :) I was upstairs last night, after I ditched him for a tv date, and while I was working away he sent me this sweet text before he went to bed. I'm so thankful for him and it makes me love him even more because he appreciates me.

The best hubby...I just love him.
I have also been organizing. If you know me, or you've probably learned from reading this blog, I LOVE things to be organized. I'm not sure why I decided to take on so many projects at once, especially when I have so many monogramming orders to fill along with throwing a certain 2 year old a birthday party. But I started and now I can't stop. The first one was my closet. I decided to ditch the shoe boxes and place them all in baskets. I had this wire thing that I used in my embroidery room, so I moved it to my closet and bought some more baskets. 'After' pictures will come later, but I'm loving it! It's so much better and Trevor is so glad the dreaded shoe boxes are gone!

Tanner to the rescue with his spatula!
Good bye shoe boxes!
This is the wire thing that now holds six baskets and looks so much better than before! One day I plan to have cabinets instead of these things, but that'll take time!
My sweet uncle gave me a cabinet that had just been sitting down in my grandma's basement. It will be perfect for my embroidery room and will give me a lot more space to store stuff. See all of that stuff on the floor?! Makes me soooo overwhelmed! That all came from the wire thing I moved downstairs. And this is what I'm left with till someone helps the hubs move the cabinet upstairs. =)  Oh joy...I have no idea when that will be! Any takers wanna come assist?!

What a hot mess we have here! That's all fabric!! Wowzers!
My work station...another hot mess!
Other than being disorganized, working on a million different orders and planning Tanner's birthday party (his party's a little late this year due to some family members being out of town) I got to spend the day with my 2 year old at his well check visit. He is a healthy 31 lbs and 37.5 inches long...he's in the 101% for height. Future basketball player hopefully :)) He was so well behaved! Oh and I forgot to mention that last Friday night Trevor and I decided no more Friday night take out! We braved it and actually went to the Mexican restaurant to eat. Our little big boy did amazing. He sat in a booster seat, ate his chips and dinner and never acted like a crazy person. We were soooo impressed, happy, joyful, ecstatic, and I could keep going on lol! He's growin up on us :(

Checking out his new band-aid :)

So hopefully one of these days I'll be able to sit down during nap time and write more. Next week will be just as crazy as this past week, but I'm not complaining. I have a beautiful family to take care of and lots of cute stuff to monogram for my amazing customers. I'm blessed. Simply blessed. Enjoy your Wednesday! Until next time...

  1. I'm so glad Tanner did well at the restaurant! It's just been in the past few months that Hattie has done well when we go out. Not always, but doing much better! I can't believe he's 2.
